Per Östman has been employed as Project Manager, Technical Specialist and Trainer at Nocom between June 1st 1996 and March 20th 1998.

Nocom is the leading value added distributor of Web-enabled products and services in Scandinavia. Nocom offers leading Internet software, as well as integration and consulting services connected to the products, to help organizations improve the effectiveness of their on-line business and increase return on their web investments. Nocom also trains selected partners to provide technical integration capabilities and consulting on the Nordic market. Nocom was founded in 1985. The Nordic headquarter is located in Uppsala, Sweden. Subsidiaries are situated in Oslo, Norway, and Helsinki, Finland.

When Per first came to Nocom, he joined the specialist center Netscape Technology Center, NTC, a joint venture between Nocom, Sun, Nokia, Europolitan and Toshiba. NTC offered specialist and integration services for the Internet, mainly based on Netscape products.

Per worked mainly as project manager and successfully handled a large number of medium-sized projects during his employment. He was also responsible for all issues related to Electronic Commerce and Netscape�s products in this area.

With his deep technical knowledge, Per easily grasped, developed and taught all Internet-related technology and was one of Nocom�s key technical specialists in the Internet area, spanning over Java, CORBA, NSAPI, Perl, JavaScript and Netscape�s entire server family. Per is also certified on Netscape�s Commercial Application platform.

Per early became trainer for Nocom�s scheduled courses, most notably Java, JavaScript, NSAPI and Perl and developed course material for these and several other courses. Per was one of our most appreciated teachers. He has also conducted several seminars about Electronic Commerce.

During a time of flux, with vast strategic and organizational changes, Per showed great loyalty to the company and emerged as the natural leader for all Nocom consultants, at that time 25 people. He was soon elected into Nocom�s executive group.

During his time at Nocom, Per has shown strong leadership and commitment to Nocom and its customers and he is highly respected and appreciated at all levels, both internally and externally. His work is characterized by professionalism, thoroughness and high quality.

Per has truly been one of our key people at Nocom and we wish him all the best when he now decides to pursue his career in Stockholm.
