My name is Per Östman, but most people call me Peo. I'm 59 years old and live in a beautiful apartment outside of Sydney now that our five children have left the nest. Originally we are from Stockholm in Sweden. Nowadays, the time not working is most often spent with the family, but I try to put aside some time for running and rollerskating and I love visiting the cinema theaters as well as the opera. Other interests are playing and teaching chess, developing chess programs, reading and just socializing with our friends.

I have been told I'm a calm, secure, caring and analytical person, but I guess that is up to others to tell. What I do know is that I love life and want to fill it with joy for my family, my friends, myself and hopefully others I meet. I believe you should have the right to do whatever you want, as long as it doesn't harm others.

Earlier, I devoted myself to all sorts of physical sports, like high jumping, running, cycling, floorball, ice hockey and basketball, as well as tournament chess playing. That is, when I had some time left from school, where I took a special interest in Mathematics, Physcics, Computer Science and Chemistry.

I also love to travel, especially abroad. Of course, this is why I am now living in Australia.
